The original name was Robert Meeh Trimmer. There were 3 employees.

Building located at 3465 Gravois which was a gear garage store front. Started as a sheet metal company fabricating and installing copper gutters, cornices, sheet metal flashings, and coal furnaces with residential ductwork.

Robert Fredrick Meeh (2nd generation) rebranded the company R.F. Meeh Co., still doing the same kind of work.

R.F. Meeh closed during WWII as they were unable to get materials or metal which was used in the war effort. At that time Robert F. Meeh went to work for the munitions plant off Goodfellow.

In 1946, after the war, R.F. Meeh Co. reopened its doors.

Robert F Meeh bought the lot next door and the lot behind the office area and made an addition to the existing facility on the 3463 Gravois vacant lot. The approximate number of employees was 6.

The company bought a 10-gauge capacity shear and a 10-gauge press brake. Before these purchases all metal cutting and bending was done by hand.

MJ Products (sister company) opened its doors. R.F. Meeh was getting asked to install metal toilet partitions by other manufacturers and suppliers because the work was claimed by local 36 sheet metal workers. They got their own line partitions and accessories and started furnishing and installing partitions and accessories.

Robert Frederick (2nd generation) became St. Louis SMACNA President for a 2-year term.

Notable project and accomplishments at this time included Tower Grove Park: Gazebos, gargoyles, copper roofing, kitchen hoods, installation of kitchen equipment, small HVAC projects.

Robert Joseph became president of R.F. Meeh Co. (3rd generation).

Throughout the 1960’s, the business was mostly residential and architectural.

Robert F. Meeh (4th generation) started his apprenticeship at the original building at 3465 Gravois.

William Meeh (4th generation) started his apprenticeship at the original building at 3465 Gravois.

Through the 1980’s, transitioned to HVAC Commercial work (50%) as well as residential (25%) and architectural gutters and metal roof (25%).

In 1984, the largest job in the history of the company Wohl Hospital at WUSM was started. This project lasted 2 years.

Robert J. bought the land and erected a 12,000 square foot facility at 405 Biltmore.

Bob Meeh and Bill Meeh moved from the field to the office taking on Project Manager roles within the company.

Plasma Cutter was added.

Staff grew to 15 employees.

Purchased an Engle coil line which was significant in improving competition with other HVAC Companies.

Robert J. Meeh retired, Bob became President and Bill became VP

Joyce Meyer Ministries became the largest project to date (2 million).

Property was bought and a new building for MJ Products was erected allowing R.F. Meeh to occupy their space in 405 Biltmore. This improved workflow for a few years, but growth continued.

R. F. Meeh purchased 325 Sun Valley Circle, adding the 3rd building to the company. At this time there were approximately 20–25 employees.

Meeh Client Services was started by Robert F. Meeh (3rd generation)

2006–2019 – Robert F Meeh (3rd generation) was President of Meeh Climate Services

Robert F Meeh (3rd generation) son Robert J Meeh (5th generation) started in the field at R.F. Meeh

Robert J Meeh (5th generation) became a Project Manager

Rob became president of R.F. Meeh and is currently still the President

Dan Tucker was brought aboard and became president of Meeh Climate Services (MCS)

Kyle Meeh (5th generation) son of Bill Meeh started in the field at R.F. Meeh

2021 – 2024 Kyle was a Project Manager at R.F. Meeh

Kyle became president of MJ Products

Current employee count at R.F. Meeh is 50–55 people. R.F. Meeh moved offices to 255 Marshall Road. The new facility boasts 64,000 sqft with unlimited potential for growth and expansion.
