Often times in business, finding synergies between companies let alone personnel can be a daunting task. The Meeh Family of Companies synergies are unquestionable. Lee Wilson, the current Director of Sustainability for Scale Free Systems has now expanded his role to include bringing solution based applications to a wide range of stakeholders including owners, mechanical engineers, facility managers and facility maintenance personnel.
Lee promotes a vision of business accountability and sustainability managment focusing on Governance, Product Performance, Talent Competitiveness, Supplier Sustainability, Resource Efficiency, and Information Technology.
Lee is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina and holds degrees in Sustainable Development and Special Education with focus areas including but not limited to renewable energy technologies and diversity in education. Lee served on the Appalachian State Renewable Energy Initiative where he served as project manager for multiple projects that replaced existing technologies with more forms of renewable energy technologies throughout campus. In association with Scale Free Systems, Lee was the recipient of the 2015 Appalachian State University Energy Summit Award for the UNC education system.
Lee is also heavily invested in the special needs community. Lee co-founded the Eye to Eye National Chapter at Appalachian State University, a national mentoring organization that matches college students with elementary students who identify as “Different Thinkers” (LD/ADHD). Lee is also a program advisor for KAMPN (Kid’s with Autism Making Progress in Nature), a tuition free nature based camp in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina for families on the autism spectrum. “Great spirits have always encountered mediocre minds”- Albert Einstein.
